Robert Ryan

Rob Ryan studied fine art at Nottingham Trent Polytechnic before going on to an MA in printmaking at the Royal College of Art. I first saw his work in the Somerset House exhibition Pick Me Up, I really enjoyed his work. He is a highly acclaimed illustrator specialising in paper cuts and limited edition screen prints.

Book London

Our new brief was given to us recently, our goal is to create a twelve chapter book of London applying the workshops that we will be given through out the week. We need to take those workshops further and relate them to London. This is our final project of the first year in the fDA in Graphic Design, so I plan to incorporate all the skills that I have developed throughout this year.

ALRA Set Building

Having collaborated with the BA of Film and Television they called me again to see if I was interested in working again with the Art Department. They had to shoot a 2 minute film in ALRA is a school for performing art in Tooting Bec. I helped build the set with Margherita Zanobetti who is a second year student in LCC in the BA of Film and Video; she was the Production Designer and was also in charge of costume for several films, and my role was to help her build the set and be in charge of costume with her. I really enjoy working in a different field to mine because it I can use my creative skills and apply them in a different field that is not what i am use to.

Photoshop Experimentations

This is a picture that was taken of me and I have been playing a lot with photoshop lately

Final Outcome (product packaging)

This was the final outcome of the four product packages we created. We decided that since we wanted our package to be reusable we created a sort of lamp that could be use when you where finished with the package.

Product Packaging Project

Apart from creating the actual packages we also needed to little booklets that where inside the packages that explained each type of love in a brief story which Rose designed and bookbinded, and we also screen printed the bags where we placed the product.
